Alaska Miner’s and Trapper’s Ball
CELEBRATE FUR RENDEZVOUS AT THE MINERS AND TRAPPERS BALL - ONE OF “FUR RONDY’S” MOST POPULAR AND “WACKIEST” EVENTS SINCE 1950!
The MINERS & TRAPPERS Ball is a charity event sponsored by the Alaska Lions Club with all proceeds going to various local charities. People used to stand in line for hours in the sub zero temperatures to get tickets to this iconic Alaskan event. The ball features a highly competitive costume contest ranging from gold rush & period costumes to anything goes! The Miners and Trappers ball presents a live band & dj, local celebrities as mc’s on stage, food & beverage, friendship mixed with lots of dancing, and of course the annual Mr. Fur Face Beard Competition! The fashions of the Gold Rush and the flair of Mardi Gras combine for a uniquely Alaskan event!
